Michael has been a partner at Evergreen Advisors for over a decade. Michael is a financial planner, specializing in retirement, tax and estate planning for affluent individuals. Michael also chairs the firm’s Investment Committee.

Mr. O’Donnell holds the Certified Financial Planner, CFP certification, the recognized standard for excellence in personal financial planning. Michael also earned the CPA professional designation in 2007, focusing on tax planning.

Michael’s educational background includes an MBA in Personal Financial Planning and Risk Management from Georgia State University in 2006 as well as a master of Accountancy in 2004 and a BS in Finance in 2002 from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Michael has previously been involved with Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga, the Society of Financial Service Professionals, and numerous non-profits.

Michael is an avid outdoor athlete, enjoying rock climbing, hiking and mountain biking. He currently serves on the Finance Comittee of the Southeastern Climbers Coalition (SCC) and is a former USA Triathlon (USAT) athlete.
